With a solid foundation in electrical concepts, troubleshooting, and engineering solutions, I've developed specialized expertise in Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) and Emergency Responder Radio Communication Systems (ERRCS). My career has been dedicated to enhancing public safety and ensuring reliable communications through meticulous installation and testing of DAS and BDA systems across various high-stakes environments. Starting with general electronics repair and progressing through roles as a 5G Field Expert DAS Technician, Lead ERRCS Technician, and RF Field Engineer, I have honed my skills in coaxial and fiber optic handling, sweep and PIM testing, fiber splicing, and system optimization. I've also led teams up to 15 members, managed complex projects, and played a crucial role in creating optimized heat maps and wiring diagrams to meet stringent coverage requirements. Today, I am a BDA DAS Technician at Motorola Solutions, where my focus is on the installation, configuration, and testing of DAS and BDA systems. My hands-on role involves working closely with project managers and installation technicians to ensure every component—whether outdoor antennas, fiber optics, or low-voltage DC power—meets compliance standards (NEC, NFPA 72, 1221) and exceeds customer expectations. This position allows me to leverage my skills in connectorization, RF coverage testing, site surveying, and low-voltage systems to various job sites to bring effective communication systems to life.
