With over 20 years as a litigator, I’m a seasoned trial lawyer who has secured multiple record-breaking verdicts and settlements. A Few Career Highlights:// I’m a native Charlestonian, but I’ve studied and lived abroad, becoming fluent in Spanish. I routinely represent injured Hispanic workers in South Carolina and across the country.// In 2014, I represented a 28-year-old scaffolder who was electrocuted and paralyzed while working on a transformer that hadn’t been deactivated. After a 2-week trial against PEPCO in Montgomery County, Maryland, the jury awarded my client a $35.9 million verdict, one of the largest in American history for an undocumented worker.// In 2019, I represented the family of an undocumented worker who was killed in an electrocution event, securing a $21 million verdict against Dominion Energy. This was the largest verdict on record in that county and the largest ever for an undocumented worker in South Carolina history.// In 2021, I represented a young man who suffered severe injuries due to a highway construction defect, achieving the largest brain injury verdict ever awarded in Richland County, South Carolina.// In 2022, I obtained the largest single-injury settlement in South Carolina with a $28.5 million settlement against Medquest for negligent radiology and imaging services.// I’m highly active in my local community, serving on the boards of the Hispanic Advisory Board at the College of Charleston and the Historic Charleston Foundation.
