With over four years of extensive IT help desk, network engineering, and systems administration experience alongside a bachelor’s degree encompassing years of technical training, I am fully skilled in diagnosing and resolving problems regarding networks issues, PCs, Printers, VOIP, Mobile devices, APs, application software, and Laptop/Computer hardware. I am well versed in a wide variety of network issues, and I am able to quickly and effectively bring about a resolution. At Howard University, I was tasked with the responsibility of overseeing that all tickets were quickly and successfully resolved in an environment with over end users. In addition to this, I handled the deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of a variety of layer 2 and layer 3 network devices such as switches, routers, APs, VOIP phones, printers, PCs, security systems, and many other network dependent appliances and applications. Another significant role that I held was the head of onsite IT support at BNSIC. In this role I worked directly with all the staff, providing them assistance with software applications while also troubleshooting all network issues and monitoring/installing end user applications. As the on-site lead at BNSIC, I was required to clearly present progress and insight directly to the executive level of BNSIC. Following my role as a Network Engineer, I began working for the Department of Transportation as a Senior IT Support Specialist. In this position, I was tasked with supporting of DOT end users. I was tasked with system adminstration duties to maintain and develop the DOT internal network and environment. Following over a year of DOT customer support, I was brought on to the Executive Support Team to assist all non-career politcal appointees including the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of Transportation. In this role I was tasked with administrative duties through Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, DOT Server Support, and many other system admin applications. I took my Oath of Office to serve the USDOT as a federal employee in June of 2024. I currently serve under the Office of the Secretary of Transportation (OST) where I support all VIP and politically appointed users as well as assist in developing and maintaining policy and security for the Department’s Infrastructure and Operations team.
