About William Barnes

Billy has been working in the financial services industry for more than 35 years. He began his career as the youngest broker in the firm with Wheat First Securities, a Wells Fargo Advisors Predecessor. He specializes in high net worth individuals and is a registered CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. Billy attended the College of William and Mary where he earned his bachelor’s degree. He was inducted into the College of William and Mary Athletic Hall of Fame in 1998. Billy married his college sweetheart, Lee, and they have two children, Billy and Ashley. He is th former Walsingham Academy’s Boys Varsity Basketball Coach for 25 years and has several state and conference Coach-of-the-Year Awards. In his free time he enjoys fishing and boating. He has formerly been a member of the Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the William and Mary Alumni Association Board of Directors.
