About William Beatty

I am a motivational educator with expertise in academic writing and proofreading, International Baccalaureate curriculum and language acquisition. My educational philosophy is to nurture caring and compassionate global citizens who play an active role in the international community by delivering the skills and knowledge they need to excel in a rapidly changing world. I hold an International Baccalaureate Diploma, a bilingual Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and Literature, and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education. Additionally, I have ten years of teaching experience with International School students, business English clients and language school students of all ages. I possess extensive personal knowledge across a range of subjects including English, German, history, geography, international affairs and politics, philosophy (IBDP Theory of Knowledge), psychology and music. Academic differentiation is at the core of my teaching practice, and each lesson comprises differentiated content, processes, and outcomes tailored to individual student needs. I create simplified and extended components to tasks with a broad spectrum of student abilities in mind when planning lessons and units. Inclusion of all students in discussions and the formation of a creative, reassuring learning environment are fundamental principles of my approach to teaching and learning. I am an aspiring perfectionist who wholeheartedly believes in positive motivation and I am deeply invested in guiding students to achieve their maximum potential.
