I joined Merrill Lynch Wealth Management after a Wall Street career spanning over 30 years. Immediately prior to joining Merrill Lynch I was a partner at a New York City based investment banking boutique, Scura Paley & Company, providing advisory and capital raising services. My relevant experience is extensive.as the former Chairman/CEO of FTN Equity Capital Markets, where I worked from to 2010, I developed expertise in all aspects of equity capital markets. At FTN (a division of First Horizon Bank FTN-NYSE) revenues grew from a pure start-up in to almost $70 million within five years. FTN Equity Capital Markets was acknowledged repeatedly as one the “Best of the Street” by the Wall Street Journal, “Best of the Research Boutiques” by Institutional Investor Magazine and was highly ranked by both StarMine and Integrity Research. FTN was a core research provider for well over of the largest institutional investors both in the United States and abroad. During my tenure, the firm completed 40+ investment banking transactions including private and public capital raises and advised on a number of M&A transactions. As CEO my responsibilities included equity capital markets origination and direct management of the heads of research, sales, trading and sales trading. I founded and co-chaired the Investment Policy Committee and was the head of the Investment Banking Commitment Committee. My previous experience includes a position as Senior Managing Director and Head of Institutional Equity Sales for all U.S. products at ABN AMRO where we had multiple offices in the United States and London. ABN AMRO was one of the largest global investment banks. At ABN AMRO I was also Co-Chairman of the Investment Policy Committee and a member of the Investment Banking Commitment Committee. Earlier in my career I was the Head of New York institutional sales in New York for Morgan Keegan, a Memphis based investment bank
