Growing up, I was taught the importance of managing finances wisely and serving others with a generous heart. But it wasn’t until I got married that the true weight of budgeting and planning for the future really sank in. When your financial decisions start affecting the folks you love, the need for a solid plan becomes crystal clear. Even though it can seem daunting, finding an advisor who can simplify the process is essential. This job is often one where folks don’t realize they need help until they’re in a bind. Here are a few common situations where people reach out to me- Job Changes (whether it’s by your choice or not, I can help you decide the best way to handle your old employer’s retirement savings plan)- Life Events (exciting milestones like marriages and babies, or not-so-exciting ones like divorce or receiving an inheritance)- Current Advisor Woes (if you have an advisor but they’re just not striking your fancy anymore) Of course, there are many other reasons, but these tend to be the frequent fliers in my inbox. When I’m NOT working, you’ll find me with my wife, Hannah, enjoying our local community through church small group, trying out new restaurants, pickin’ on the guitar, or hitting up the local sporting clays range. I’ve also got a fondness for palm trees and summer breezes, so you can bet on us taking trips down to Galveston whenever the weather’s right.
