Bill has wide-ranging expertise in polymer physical chemistry, molecular biophysics, drug development and biotechnology. He is an authority on multinuclear NMR, spectroscopic and thermodynamic analysis and instrumental methods. Bill’s areas of technical expertise include: • Pharmaceuticals • Medical Devices • Materials Science • Biotechnology • Alternative Energy Technologies Bill works efficiently and effectively with inventors, technology commercialization professionals and intellectual property practitioners. Bill is passionate about providing IP support for promising academic technologies, and helping to move them forward on the path towards commercialization. Prior to shifting his focus to intellectual property, Bill served as a tenured faculty member, with a well-funded research program, as a research scientist in drug discovery and biotechnology, and as a technical analyst, consultant and expert witness. Bill has significant experience writing and reviewing grants for multiple US and foreign agencies, and has helped start-ups with grant-proposal writing and strategy. He is an author on 30+ scientific papers and review articles, and has presented talks at US and international venues. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses on subject matter ranging from general chemistry to physical chemistry to molecular biophysics. Bill is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
