About William Brown

William is a corporate attorney willing to step out of his comfort zone and dive head-first into familiar and unfamiliar areas of law. His litigation experience includes taking the lead on litigation before the U.S. Tax Court and Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, participating in pre-litigation negotiations and mediations, and writing dozens of motions and memoranda of law for both tort and commercial litigation. His transactional experience includes leading a legal team in several IEP negotiations; drafting dozens of wills, powers of attorney, and deeds; and reviewing hundreds of leases, deeds, mortgages, and other real estate documents as part of several large document reviews. Born and raised in Huntington, West Virginia, William has externed with Judge Roderick Young, magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and Judge Deanis Simmons, circuit court judge for Virginia’s 28th Judicial Circuit. He has volunteered with William & Mary Law School’s Elder and Disability Law Clinic, Puller Veterans Benefits Clinic, Special Education Advocacy PELE Clinic, and Federal Tax Clinic. In his free time, William enjoys cooking ancient Roman cuisine and volunteering at his local parish.
