About William Buffington

I started my video career when I graduated from what is now Morehead State University with a BS in Mass Communications in 1971. This led me to train Hospitality management and employees. My focus on video as a key medium grew in 1984 when I produced a series of video training programs for employees of a Five Star hotel chain on guest services. During my career, I have created visual media for Hughes Aircraft, Trinity Industries, Hunt Oil, NEC Corporation, and Cinram Wireless, either directly or by managing a training division. I also was a key player in establishing a training company, Vellis Knowledge, in partnership with The American Welding Society and Trinity Industries, which produced a series of online training programs that instructed welders how to inspect and test welds on anything welded worldwide. Clients ranged from The American Welding Society, Caterpillar USA, and Trinity Industries to the Turkish Government. In 2011, I retired from over 35 years at executive-level positions in human resources/organization development and started auditing visual media.
