About William Buskirk

William Buskirk is the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Asset Management & Operations for Freddie Mac Multifamily. In this role, he is responsible for the Asset Management & Operations of the Multifamily business including loan administration and servicing, counterparty risk & compliance, marketing, employee engagement, business strategy and management reporting. Through his work, William’s focus is to help ensure tenants across the country have a decent and safe place to live and call home.During his 20+ years with the company, William has held various accounting and finance positions, including Chief Financial Officer overseeing the budgeting, forecasting, capital and Dodd-Frank compliance functions for the Multifamily business line. He also helped set up the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) infrastructure at Freddie Mac in 2002 when the standard was first introduced. William is a Certified Public Accountant and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware.
