About William Butcher

I attended training at the Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center in Panama City Florida where I completed both basic and advanced courses in underwater construction techniques, underwater cutting and welding, diving physics, in-water and surface decompression procedures, and safety. My training also included the recognition, treatment and prevention of injuries and decompression sickness associated with diving. I am experienced in project planning, drawing and blueprint reading, and writing reports. I have led a fifteen man team of divers to complete construction projects world wide. I have conducted inspections of mooring systems, waterfront facilities, bridges, and pipelines. I have been trained and certified to use and maintain SCUBA equipment, Surface Supplied Diving Life Support Systems, and Recompression Chambers. I am highly skilled in all aspects of the arc welding processes in both dry and wet environments. I am capable of attaining certification in all positions of welding and currently have a 4G SMAW structural welding certification. As an Iron Worker Foreman for Chacago Bridge and Iron on their Eagle Valley Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Power Plant Project in Martinsville Indiana I managed a crew of Ironworker’s tasked with reinforcing steel installation for all foundations on the project site. I also led a team of Ironworker’s in the installation of engineered building wall panels.
