In my role as Health Safety Advisor, I am responsible for conducting health and safety audits, policies, risk assessments and safe systems of work. Also responsible for the undertaking of fire Risk Assessments to PAS 79 1 & 2 within relevant non domestic and domestic premises including Multi Storey flats, Sheltered Complex and Community facilities office blocks assessing every aspect of Fire Risk Management, Fire related maintenance regimes, Fire related cultural behaviour and physical asset inspection. I also have carried out Fire Risk assessments in office blocks, schools and warehouses in previous roles. I am well able to self manage, work to deadlines, deliver accurate and professional reports as well as deal with people in a respectful and professional manner to maximise a positive safety culture. I have extensive Health and Safety and Fire related certification to Degree standard that underpins my capability to deliver at the highest standards. I am also tasked with presenting fire safety inspection information to Housing Officers in large groups, who are responsible for visiting our customer base on a regular basis to identify potential fire related issues and flag this for a follow on visit. This also includes Concierge staff, who carry out operational activities within the Multi Storey blocks to re- evaluate their daily inspection regime and to identify areas that may be deficient in fire safety related issues. I am very proactive in my CPD and have completed various fire related certifications (which are detailed within my profile) and most recently successfully completing the NEBOSH FC1 AND FC2 National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management. I have extensive Health and Safety experience both working as a Health and Safety Adviser within a local Council department, as well as Health and Safety Consultancy work which includes Health and Safety Audits with associated Action Plans, Construction of Health and Safety Policies, individual safety policies, Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work and Health and Safety Training.
