Background
About William Chang
Invested in direct/indirect imaging techniques, the evolution of brown dwarfs, and the merging of galaxies, I conduct research that encompasses astrophysics, data science, and engineering. My current research focuses on targeted searches for supermassive black hole binaries using pulsar timing arrays, a powerful method for detecting gravitational waves. I am competent in solving scientific and engineering problems with machine learning models and optics techniques. I have experience in probing the stochastic gravitational wave background with multimessenger astrophysics, exploring extrasolar planetary systems and circumstellar disks with spectropolarimetry, and utilizing convolutional neural networks to improve computer vision algorithms.
