About William Chapman

I have worked in the financial sector for over 10 years drawing skills and knowledge from prior roles to improve my ability in my current role. I have experience of direct contact with the public, retail companies and regulatory bodies during underwriting, debt collection, complaints, debt advice, property disposal and insolvency stage. As a result of this I have built a strong portfolio of knowledge across a range of areas in finance in addition to an eye for detail and a passion for problem solving. During my career attention to detail, strict time management, maintaining KPIs within SLAs and strong administrative ability have been paramount. I have experience of drafting legal documents, correcting credit files, negotiating with the Financial Ombudsman Service, complaint investigation/resolution, utilising underwriting methodology, assessing circumstances to find the best solution for individuals’ financial problems and more recently managing the disposal of a large number of properties through shortfall sale or voluntary surrender. On a more personal level I strive to be as approachable as possible with the view that I am willing to help anyone as I would hope they would be willing to help me. More importantly is that people are confident in my knowledge and ability to think outside the box. The best way to do this is though consistent high standards in the work I produce. I continually look for ways to increase my portfolio and skill set seeking training where available. My motivation and ultimate objective is to provide for my family, which I can achieve by being an important and valuable member of the business.
