About William Chicquen

My name is William Chicquen, I've learned a lot throughout my years and I am excited about the future. I started working at McDonald's in 2020, at this job I learned many important skills. These skills were developed when working in a fast-paced, intense environment such as McDonald's. In the summer of 2021, I started working at my current employment, Walmart. At Walmart, I learned to work in a team and time to get tasks done efficiently. Walmart has been an excellent part-time job during my studies at University and my spare time during summers. Taggart Construction was my third job, which I started in May of 2023. I learned a lot about Taggart and the inner workings of a construction company and office space during this time. Although only a summer job, I greatly enjoyed working at Taggart as a summer student. As a Civil engineering student, it was very interesting to me to get to know the financial department of Taggart, as they are in direct contact with engineers all the time. In my studies, I see myself branching off towards the structural side of Civil engineering. Understanding the construction behind big projects has always fascinated me, and I hope to learn more about the construction field as a whole in the near future. I am very excited to be able to use and apply the knowledge from my University classes at Carleton University, on job sites in the future.
