To oversee the preparation of instruments and equipment by the process of cleaning, inspection, assembly and packing, adhering to quality standards-To conduct myself with a highly professional telephone manner at all times -To ensure that all administrative duties are carried out with the utmost accuracy inline with policy and procedure-To liaise with Theatre in order to resolve any issues that arise- To oversee and rigorously check, disinfect, inspect, assembly and pack sets of surgical instruments, meeting contractual needs and requirements- To maintain and archive accurate Synergy Trac IT records - To safely operate and monitor machinery and equipment- To accurately record and log on the Synergy Trac IT Tracking and Traceability system any defects, repairs and missing instruments or equipment-To input patient information accurately into the synergy trac IT portal- To monitor, evaluate and ensure that operational activities fully comply with required Health and Safety procedures and guidelines-To regularly communicate with theatre coordinators and loan company reps regarding incoming loan equipment- To actively participate in the production and processing of instrumentation- To prioritise work based on the needs of the department and deal with problems as they arise- To coach, support and guide team members in line with the principles of performance management, setting and reviewing goals and acting as a mentor to the team- To identify the training and development needs of all team members- To ensure effective communication between senior management and production teams- To ensure that all designated staff are kept informed and trained on individual and team health and safety procedures in the workplace- To actively contribute to suggestions of innovation, continuous improvement and best practice- To respond under pressure and make decisions and judgements involving a range of situations- To effectively designate team members and agency staff throughout the department to ensure efficient production and processing- To attend training regular training meetings with management- To brief staff and overlapping shifts on a regular basis, handover daily departmental status- To regularly carry out real assessments within a busy working environment- To ensure that the department's health and safety standards are being adhered to, in line with government guidance.
