I am passionate about telecommunications, originally learning IP networking skills by being a founding member of a community wireless network and then later joining a large service provider in 2009. Since joining the service provider I have been working in a lab designing, testing and providing support on the technical aspect of the companies products. Working in a development lab has enabled me to gain a detailed understanding of the following- Broadband RADIUS)- QoS (core and access) with a focus on broadband networks - MPLS (TE & LDP based)- L3VPN (IP, Multicast, IPv6 using 6VPE)- Metro Ethernet (VLL, VPLS)- FTTH (GPON and SIP voice service)- Network test equipment (Ixia/Agilent N2X)- NMS systems (SAM 5620, AMS 5520) I am experienced with the following IP-MPLS equipment - Cisco 6500/7600, 10k, 12k, CRS, ASR1k and ASR9k - Alcatel-Lucent 7450, 7750SR (Primary broadband), ISAM7302 - Huawei MA5600 My background in programming has allowed me to automate test cases using scripting and provide assistance during development undertaken on varies IT systems. In 2013, my employer awarded me with the top award for outstanding performance.
