About William Dennis

I have always been fascinated by machines and how they work. This interest led to serving in Marine Corps aviation. I enjoyed my time troubleshooting difficult problems on aircraft and training others to do the same. After nearly nine years in the military, I decided to leave to pursue an education in mechanical engineering. I am now in my senior year at Cal Poly Pomona where I have been able to combine my practical experience with machines with an academic understanding of their design and function. I have worked on several collaborative design projects throughout my time at Cal Poly Pomona which reinforced the benefits of working as a team. I am also working on a senior project that explores the material properties of 3D printed objects. This is allowing me to reinforce and apply my education in materials and machine design. I am looking forward to continuing to find solutions for problems and drawing on the experience of others.
