Middle School Social Studies and Spanish Teacher with a demonstrated history of working in a virtual or in-person learning environment. Skilled in all Google platforms as well as other digital media platforms. Strong Public Speaker. Experienced education professional in multiple history subjects (Ancient World, Medieval World, & US History) with a History, Single Subject credential from California State University San Marcos. BILA Certified. Also experienced Substitute Teacher in Lower Elementary and Middle School grades. Served twenty honorable years in the United States Marine Corps in “every clime and place.” During my time in the military I had the privilege of working in some of our American embassies around the world, including Beijing, China. This valuable experience provided me an opportunity to gain different perspectives which I have brought into my classroom. I also had the honor of leading and mentoring young men and women throughout my military career. My experiences in the Marine Corps have provided me with a variety of lessons that have served me well in the classroom. Education is the key to our future. Know yourself and seek self-improvement. My long term goal is to eventually teach in secondary education, and/or pursue a career as an education administrator. During my time with DLINC, I have also gotten the opportunity to serve as the Athletic Director. I am the Girls & Boys Basketball Head Coach. Go Lobos! I am also the Cross Country Head Coach. While my focus includes fundamentals, there is also an emphasis on Sportsmanship, Respect, Humility, Teamwork, and Perseverance!
