About William Harris

Architect, CTO, team leader, and software engineer with 19 years industry experience.I find it immensely satisfying when an architecture allows software to easily achieve things you never envisioned at the outset, and when the extra time you took to do something right the first time pays dividends down the line. I'm happiest when I can get stuck into a tough problem and develop an elegant solution. I love removing redundancy and ensuring my code, systems, and platforms work efficiently as they can. And while there may be many possible solutions to any given problem, I want to find one of the few right solutions!That also holds for the teams I work with — while there are many ways to run a dev team, I strongly believe there is a right way, and Agile is one of the best approaches to software development for most cases. I love working with Agile methodologies because, done right, they allow teams to not only get better but to be excited about getting better.My ideal position would allow me to continue coding and learning new technologies while at the same time mentoring other developers and teams in a CTO, team lead, or other supervisory capacity.
