About William Hellman

As a Structural Engineer at Uzun+Case in Atlanta, I work with my team’s Principal and Project Engineers to produce, communicate, and verify structural component designs for a variety of large commercial building projects across the southeast. In my time at the firm, I have contributed to over ten projects across a wide range of applications including offices, restaurants, and residential high-rises. I am also a member of two company committees (Sustainability and BIM) where I complete additional work to improve conceptual understanding and increase day-to-day productivity. My educational background includes a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from Vanderbilt University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Physics from Centre College. While in school, I had the opportunity to serve in several leadership roles including Secretary for the American Society of Civil Engineers chapter at Vanderbilt and as both the Treasurer and Health & Safety Officer of Sigma Alpha Epsilon at Centre College. My educational experience provided me with a broad range of knowledge and interests across several disciplines that I enjoy applying to solve complex, real-world problems.
