About William Holmes

As an experienced healthcare leader, nurse, and analyst with education in both nursing and computer information systems, I possess a rare combination of knowledge that enables me to bridge the divide between abstract technical ideas and clinical practice. My desire is to participate in the development of healthcare's soon-to-be new normal, working to bring virtual care into remote areas of our society, where it is needed most. During seven accomplished years as a Clinical Analyst, I built upon my dynamic foundation of computer science and nursing skills, developing masterful abilities in clinical workflow-process analysis, EHR architecture and implementation, CPOE and physician documentation adoption strategy, project management, policy advisement and development, application testing, troubleshooting, technical support, and staff education. Combined with my clinical knowledge as a Registered Nurse, my technical talents are effectively applied and well respected within the multidisciplinary team. Applying technical savvy within a clinical frame of reference allows me to help other clinicians successfully close the gap between the EHR and patient care. This provides me the ability to cultivate EHR adoption with the focus of optimizing time at the bedside by efficiently integrating electronic documentation into clinician workflow, resulting in increased staff satisfaction and positive patient outcomes.
