About William Julien

Born in Indiana and raised in Arizona, I attended Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Diagnostic Radiology Residency at the University of Minnesota and Fellowship at the Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute at Baptist Hospital. Left traditional radiology group practice in 2001 to form South Florida Vascular Associates becoming one of the first Interventional Radiologists to obtain independent medical staff privileges at a U.S. hospital. Have been an advocate for IR's having a vigorous clinical practice and one of the first physicians in the USA to open an Office Interventional Suite in 2005. I believe in making the patient and referring physician partners in the treatment process through education, open communication and accessibility. The practice, South Florida Vascular Associates, is best known for treatment of complex critical limb ischemia patients. I also had the privilege of training many physicians on cutting-edge minimally invasive procedures and have been principal investigator for several device trials for medical break-through procedures. I am also the co-founder and Past President of the OEIS (Outpatient Endovascular and Interventional Society).
