About William Lin

With over 20 years of experience in building strategic relations and business development for large organizations and corporations in Greater China and Southeast Asia, I am passionate about creating value and impact through helping international companies grow Chinese business. As the Head of Chinese Business Segment at Siam City Cement, I led the planning and execution of the company's vision and strategy to expand its presence and influence among Chinese clients and stakeholders in the region. I leveraged my cultural awareness, communication, and presentation skills to establish and maintain connections with top management of target Chinese clients and stakeholders, and to showcase the company's premium quality and value-added services.In my role, I orchestrated a 7-member China Key Account team across countries to build up comprehensive connections with regional, country and key department heads of target Chinese clients, such as China State Construction, China Harbour, China Railway Construction, and China Heavy China National Heavy Machinery, among many others. We achieved 90% of sales target in 2021 and 115% in 2022, despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. We also secured multiple large contracts and projects in Thailand, South Vietnam, Cambodia, and Sri Lanka, with a total value of over thb 1 billion within three years. I also provided policy readout and suggestions on business priorities for the Group CEO, based on my in-depth knowledge and analysis of China's latest policies on new urbanization and Belt & Road Initiative.
