About William Majcher

I have worked as a high school math teacher at North Ridgeville High School since 2010. During my time as a math teacher I helped my students achieve top scores on the AP Calculus AB exam and on the state Algebra 1 exam. My students have been able to achieve a 90%+ pass rate on the AP Calculus Exam with the majority of students earning scores of 4 and 5. I have served as the head of the math department at North Ridgeville High School since 2016, guiding my colleagues in the creation and revision of new curriculum and working with administrators to be an agent of change in our school, striving to improve the education of our students. Additionally, I currently serve as the coach of the high school Academic Challenge team and as a virtual math home instructor for a student with special needs. I also have a background in music and served as the assistant marching band director at North Ridgeville High School from 2011-2016. I studied in clarinet at Bowling Green State University and currently play in the Cleveland Winds. I minored in computer science at Bowling Green State University and thus, have some background in programming as well. In the summer and fall I serve as the lead manager for Willie's Farm Market in Middleburg Heights - my family's 4th generation local produce stand. I have been in this role since 2006. In this role I have recruited, hired, and trained many new employees, lead the development of our social media presence, created weekly schedules to keep the market staffed, and created a sense of community and family amongst our staff. I also oversee the day-to-day operations of the market including rotation of stock, setting up displays, one-on-one customer sales, unloading trucks, cleaning, and just about every job that goes into maintaining a small business. I have also worked on the family farm where our produce is grown.
