About William Mattila

William Mattila has over 30 years experience in accounting and tax for both public accounting and private companies. William managed a CPA practice for 13 years and acheived average annual revenue growth of 10%. Implementing staff cross-training programs and regularly reviewing processes and procedures, he was able to reduce labor costs while at the same time increasing revenues. William has been the Controller/CFO of a start-up technology development company in Orange County. He developed and implemented cash management strategies to stay within the short and long-term goals of the company. He also developed and managed the accounting systems of the company and monitors the internal controls over the the assets and financial data. He worked as the Audit/Accounting Manager of a well-established CPA firm in Huntington Beach, California and now is the Audit Manager of a multi-office CPA firm in Irvine. He has performed and supervised certified audits for a wide variety of industries; such as non-profit organizations, manufacturing and transportation companies and has worked to develop procedures to consistently improve project efficiency. His responsibilities include planning, budgeting, staffing, and managing audit and accounting projects. He also trained and supervised the accounting staff and works with them to mentor and improve efficiency and quality controls. He has a real passion for assisting others. He is an active member of the Orange County community and regularly volunteers for several local non-profit organizations. He is a member of MultiSport Ministries - a triathlon team headquartered in South County, as well as a number of business networking organizations.
