Experience in the management, design, engineering, analysis, and start-up of mineral processing and hydrometallurgical circuits. William has extensive experience with refractory gold and copper pressure oxidation circuits, as well as uranium leaching circuits. William works as a project manager on a number of mineral processing and hydrometallurgical projects, with project assignments ranging from initial scoping and feasibility studies though to detailed engineering, commissioning and operations support. William has extensive experience in process modelling, test work program planning and analysis, and flowsheet development. William is also skilled in mechanical equipment design, P & ID development and cost estimating including economic evaluations. William is also focused on process control and safety and is an ISA84 Safety Instrumented Systems Expert in the design of safety instrumented systems for emergency process shutdown. William is an expert in Hazard Identification (HAZID) and Hazard and Operability Reviews (HAZOP) and is well versed in Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) and other risk analysis techniques. William’s notable past assignments include Project Manager for the Lone Tree Restart Project, responsible for the PFS and FS phases of the autoclave facility restart in Nevada. Willam was the Lead Process Engineer and Commissioning Manager for the AREVA CLHM project, responsible for the upgrade and re-start of the 18Mlb/a uranium leaching circuit at McClean Lake, SK. William was previously assigned to Barrick Gold’s Pueblo Viejo Project, progressively taking on increasing responsibility and management roles over the multi-year project as the Lead Process Engineer, Pre-Operations Manager, and Operations Support Manager for the t/d whole ore Pressure Oxidation (POX) and t/d Oxygen Plant (ASU) areas of the 1Moz Au/a facility.
