About William Milam

My name is Willie Milam I was born and raised in Oregon, and attended Jesuit High School. After high school, I went on to Gonzaga University, where I graduated with a degree in Business Administration and concentrations in Finance and Economics. I decided to continue my education at Gonzaga University immediately after my undergraduate studies and completed my Master's in Business Administration in 13 months. After completing my MBA in June of 2015, I accepted a position as a Financial Analyst for Campbell Global, an investment advisory firm that primarily specializes in the timber industry. Through this experience, I became well versed in the budgeting and forecasting process through my responsibilities with the multiple portfolios I managed, as well as the importance and knowledge integral to the creation and preparation of financial reports for the management team. After a little over a year working with Campbell Global, I decided to move to Boulder, Colorado to pursue a career in professional running. At the same time, I wanted to continue to expand my experience and knowledge outside of the sport and accepted a position working as a Project Manager for a startup company in Boulder named Counseling Wise. As a Project Manager at Counseling Wise for over 6 years, I have gained valuable experience with website development, online & digital marketing, SEO best practice, Google Ad Campaigns, and client + project timeline management. These are merely a few of the various responsibilities and duties involved in my work at CounselingWise - I have learned and gained a multitude of skills and abilities throughout the past 6 years. Starting in September of 2020, I also began assisting in the development of two start up companies. The first company is Green Monkey Marketing, a full service digital marketing company that specializes in website development, website design, and SEO. The second company is Vacation Rental Marketers, which is also a full service digital marketing company that specializes in the industry of vacation rental companies. Working with the founder of both companies, I was not only managing and performing tasks for existing clients, but I also worked on planning and implement long term strategies for the growth of the companies. Combining my job history, my education, my willingness to learn and improve, and a very strong emphasis on communication and work ethic, I am confident in myself as an employee and a worker.
