About William Moore

With over 20 years of experience in philanthropy, nonprofit leadership, and community networks, William Moore is a strategic advisor and network catalyzer for community change. He is the Founder and Principal of The Strategy Group, an international consulting firm that supports philanthropic and nonprofit clients in strategy design and execution, community engagement, strategic planning, and evaluation, with a focus on equity and inclusion. He is also a Senior Fellow at the Midwest Center for Nonprofit Leadership, where he teaches and mentors emerging and established leaders in the nonprofit sector. In addition, he serves as a Senior Associate and Subject Matter Expert for Rural Health at the Texas Health Institute, where he provides guidance and expertise on rural public health hubs, community engagement, and network development. Recently, Bill joined Youth Development Strategies, Inc. a nonprofit research and development center, as their Vice-President. Bill serves on the Board of Directors for the Association of Consultants to Nonprofits. He has a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Kansas and has authored dozens of publications on education, community health, sustainability, collaboration, and systems change. He is passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of people in vulnerable communities and creating lasting impact through systemic approaches, community-led networks, and strategic collaboration.
