About William Oliver

I am a versatile life-long learner with a wide array of interests and experience. My background is in English, and I used my Master's in English Ed. to teach high school and to tutor for the SAT and GRE for several years before leaving to pursue creative interests as a writer for print and digital outlets. I also began exploring an interest in sound recording and engineering during this time, contributing to several music projects and serving as engineer on a feature-length film. After a few years of freelancing and other projects, I entered a brand new world of spreadsheets and began work as an independent contractor, first doing data entry and data analysis. As I learned new apps and processes, I began creating purchase orders and paying invoices, first for one project manager, and eventually in support of 3-4 project managers, in addition to other typical duties - tracking payments and receipts, creating budgets for projects of various scopes from repairs to new builds, communicating with stakeholders internal and external, and following up as needed (follow up is always needed). Most recently, I have begun a new role in yet another field new to me. As a project coordinator at Big Red Rooster Flow, I get to learn not just about signs, but also about design. I continue to maintain my prior interests in writing and sound, and I am always excited about and interested in the next opportunity to learn and to grow, both personally and professionally.
