An accomplished Loss Prevention, Compliance and Investigative expert, William possesses a deep knowledge of retail and corporate operations. With over 30+ years of experience in diverse areas of Occupational Fraud Identification, Asset and Executive Protection and Theft Mitigation, William has successfully created, developed and directed proactive teams focused on internal/external investigations, operations and policy compliance as well as shrink reduction strategies at the store, district, region and corporate levels.William has worked for Fortune 500 retailers within online ecommerce, home improvement, specialty, discount and “big box” environments. After spending 15 years as a Field Loss Prevention operations expert, William later began working at the corporate level both within Loss Prevention and Compliance and Ethics in Legal. While in Legal, William directed corporate compliance and investigations for Sears Holdings, proactively targeting high impact vulnerabilities enterprise wide and investigating matters of inappropriate conduct involving members of executive leadership.In October 2015, William launched The Morgan Williams Group, Inc, a professional services organization specializing in loss causation, inventory shrink control and fraud prevention. Within its first 90 days, MWG contracted with a $6 billion corporation performing a multi-stage fraud program analysis, review and design implementation.In mid 2016, William joined the Loss Prevention organization, Global Security Operations, within Amazon.com responsibile for oversight and creative build out of Amazon's Strategic Investigative Solutions program, for the Americas.William holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law Enforcement Administration with a minor in Security Administration from Western Illinois University. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), is Loss Prevention Certified (LPC), a member of the FBI Infragard Partnership and is included in Marquis Who’s Who in America recognized as a leader in American Business.
