About William Parris

As a current Master of Architecture student at Cardiff University with an expected graduation date in July 2026, I'm expanding upon my career skills in architecture developed in my undergraduate degree. My studies are helping shape my interpretation of architecture and find my personal values and ethos in the profession. Currently, my belief is that good architectural thinking lies at the intersection of history, client, site and contextual nuances. Combined, these generate a framework through which expressive and provocative designs can be imagined creating thoughtful, useful and relevant architecture which has a strong positive impact on people’s lives. Volunteering with RNLI has equipped me with competencies in working under pressure and critical teamwork, all while managing my studies and engaging in professional mentoring through the RIBA Student Mentoring Scheme.The RNLI role has taught me the importance of collaboration and precision under pressure. Skills that translate seamlessly into my architectural projects and future roles.
