Thirty-six years of experience working in the environmental regulatory field. Serving in project management, compliance inspection, pollution response and investigative roles. Extensive experience in interpreting and implementing Virginia's environmental laws and regulations. Professional experience includes whole effluent toxicity (WET) testing, Virginia Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (VPDES) permit writing and project management, pollution/incident response and investigations, hazardous waste generator and treatment facility compliance inspector, industrial pretreatment program coordinator and facility compliance inspector and Virginia Water Protection Program (VWPP) permit writing, project manager and construction site compliance inspector. Attended numerous media specific and multi-media regulatory training courses sponsored by US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), including courses held at the Federal Law Enforcement Training. Worked closely with local, State and Federal law enforcement agencies concerning criminal violations of environmental law.
