About William Phillips

I graduated cum laude from Suffolk University in May 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Public Relations. During my undergraduate years, I served as the Event Planning Chairmen for the National Society of Leadership and Success. I also served as a Diversity Peer Educator. My exploration of event planning continued with the creation of "The Suffolk Influencer and Networking Reception" during my senior year, fostering communication between students and professors and sparking my interest in the events industry. Outside of my studies I worked part time at AJ Events. Venturing into the events domain, I worked at Musicians Playground's in their events department in the summer of 2020, gaining firsthand experience in supporting various artists and professionals. Subsequently, I contributed to "The Boston Landmarks Orchestra" in their Fundraising and Development department, evolving into an ambassador role, providing valuable insights into performing arts events. In Fall 2021, I embraced a role as a receptionist at the renowned architectural firm "Elkus Manfredi Architects" in Boston. Leveraging my passion for events, I not only mastered administrative duties but also volunteered for projects aligned with events. Additionally, as Co-Chairmen of the LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group and a member of the IDEA committee, I actively contributed to fostering community and connection among employees. As an aspiring arts administrator, I'm dedicated to fostering inclusive, supportive spaces that nurture forward thinking and artistic creativity.
