Avionics Technician of over 20+ years combined civilian and U.S. Air Force (AFSCs: 2A471, 45571, 32571) experience (bench, flight line, and phase) on various avionics and electrical systems * Identify complex problems and review technical information (e.g, ADs, FARs, manuals) to develop and evaluate corrective options and implement solutions * Work from engineering drawings, logic flow trees, schematics, and written or verbal instructions * Adjust, assemble, install, maintain, modify, remove, repair, replace, test, and troubleshoot avionics systems to include ADC, AFCS, ATC Transponders, COM/NAV, EFIS, EICAS, FMS, GPS, GPWS, Instrument Indicating (e.g, engine, pressure), SATCOM, TACAN, TAWS, TCAS, and VOR/ILS * Fabricate, install, test, troubleshoot (T/S), and repair electrical cable/wire harnesses and connectors per NAVAIR 01-1A-505; TO 1−1A−14; TM 1−1500−323−24 to assure optimal system performance * Assemble/construct test boxes to include CCAs via soldering thru-hole components * Hand and pneumatic tooling use include crimpers (e.g, AMP, DMC, Molex) for connector contacts, splices, and terminal lugs; contact installation/removal tools; soldering irons; and wire strippers * Test Equipment (T/E) use includes multimeters, pitot/static (P/S), ATC transponder, VOR/ILS/MB/TACAN ramp sets, tachometer test sets, & turbine temperature test sets * Comply with R.V.S.M. maintenance actions per FAR 91.411 and FAR 91.413 inspections/certifications * Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint; and Excel * Knowledgeable of principles and experienced working in ESD and FOE sensitive environments * Possess FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (Elements 1 & 3)
