About William Rickard
Professor Will Rickard is an experienced materials scientist with a successful record in applied research and analytical facility management. He is an established research academic with more than 125 peer reviewed publications which have attracted citations with an h-index of 48 (Google Scholar). He has been awarded >$5M in competitive research funding,>$5M in demand driven research funding and has played a leadership role in the establishment of $11M in cutting-edge research infrastructure at Curtin University. His research focus is in nanoscale chemical, isotopic and structural characterisation of geological and engineering materials using advanced analytical techniques. He has have made significant contributions to the understanding of the thermal alteration in Geopolymers used for high temperature coatings. His research on technique development includes novel correlative electron and ion beam microanalysis methods. Currently, he is involved in funded projects in Defence, nuclear materials, energy storage, nanofabrication, nanoscale geochemical phenomena and FIB-ToF-SIMS technique development.
