Since starting my Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, I have been invested in learning about the pharmaceutical industry. I have actively pursued opportunities to enhance my leadership, communication, presentation, and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams. I am eager to leverage these abilities and my experiences to make meaningful contributions to a medical affairs team. Communication and Presentation Skills - Invited pharmaceutical industry speakers to student organization meetings and applied public speaking skills when introducing speakers and leading executive board meetings- Communicated and presented complex scientific concepts as the Medical Affairs and Clinical Development Team Lead for IPhO’s VIP Case Competition- Delivered presentations on the medical science liaison career path and role responsibilities, including insights on clinical trials and package inserts, to course directors and peers in the Introduction to Pharmacy Industry elective. Research and Auditing Skills - Proficient in completing audits in Excel while working at UWHealth in Narcotic Control - Demonstrated adeptness in compounding, conducting compliant stability studies, using X-ray powder diffraction to analyze samples, calibrating an HPLC, creating HPLC methods, and analyzing HPLC data. Interprofessional Collaborative Team Skills - Completed an Interprofessional Collaborative Practice and Healthcare Ethics Course - Demonstrated expertise in collaborating and resolving patient care problems within an interprofessional healthcare team through multiple clinical practice experiences
