As a Senior Lab Supervisor at Labcorp - Genomics Lab, I have over 10 years of clinical experience in molecular biology, with a focus on polymerase chain reaction (PCR) techniques. I have a BA in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and I am passionate about advancing the field of genomics and precision medicine. I lead a team of laboratory testing staff, providing direction, training, mentoring, and feedback. I also oversee the technical aspects of the operations, ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory standards. I am proficient in using and troubleshooting laboratory hardware and software, as well as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. I continuously engage in process and service improvement, implementing best practices and innovative solutions. I have successfully managed multiple projects, including the COVID PCR Lab, where I increased the testing capacity and reduced the turnaround time.
