About William Samayoa

William Samayoa is the newly appointed Talent Relations Associate for the CBS TV Stations Talent Strategy office. As the Talent Relations associate, Samayoa will manage and build relationships engaging with emerging media and on-camera talent across traditional, digital, educational, and non-traditional institutions and platforms. Samayoa most recently served as the Coordinator for the CBS TV Stations Talent Strategy office, reporting directly to Laurie Orlando, SVP of Talent Strategy for CBS TV Stations. As the Talent Strategy Coordinator, Samayoa played a key role in the team's casting and development of on-air talent and strategic planning for CBS News. Prior to joining CBS, Samayoa's experience in the entertainment industry was in nonfiction and unscripted film/TV. This includes roles at David Magdael and Associates, Fremantle, and the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences. Some of Samayoa's notable projects have included: the awards team for the 92nd Oscar nominee for Best Documentary Feature For Sama; PR for YouTube Originals Stonewall Outloud; PR for Netflix's Mucho Mucho Amor, a film on the life and legacy of Latinx icon Walter Mercado. His expertise in nonfiction content helped him launch films at key film festivals like Sundance, SXSW, and Tribeca. Samayoa is a proud member of NLGJA, NAHJ, and an alumnus of Hobart and William Smith Colleges, the Posse Foundation, and the University of East Anglia's Erasmus program.
