About William Shipman

I have had over 20 years of experience in leadership throughout numerous environments. I started as an officer in San Antonio managing the Air Force's inventory of engines for their F-16. I have done hands-on engineering as a structural aircraft repair engineer and a director of the turbine test facility in Dayton, Ohio, I then transitioned into aviation safety / organization excellence when I joined the Headquarters Safety center responsible for developing new methods and processes to reduce risk across all areas of operations. I left the military and joined Raytheon, where I was in charge of company-wide organizational health and improvement activities. I then moved into operations where I was responsible for not only continuous process improvement, but also capital and facilities management. I left Raytheon for an exciting opportunity to help the United Arab Emirates design and implement an military Aviation Safety Center fr two years. After the contract ended, I returned to Texas and joined L3 as a project engineer working specifically on tactical intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) modified aircraft. I went back to Raytheon for two years working International ISR pursuit activities, but have now returned to L3 to support the company as a project engineer.
