I have worked the past 30 years for Darden Restaurants as a software programmer. At the beginning of my career here, I worked with C, C++, and VB for DOS applications and then moving to Classic ASP, ASP.Net C#, MS Core with the goal of making our restaurant managers jobs a little bit easier. Our systems use Oracle and/or SQL Server databases so I am experienced in working with SQL queries and procedures. My primary applications development/support were for restaurant meal preparation software, restaurant information database, inventory systems, special menu insert sheets, and restaurant ordering applications. Multiple integrations between system databases, Oracle to Oracle, SQL Server to Oracle, and Oracle to SQL Server using dblinks, file extracts, and console applications. Transition of my knowledge began in September of 2022 and completed 12/30/2022 as I retired from Darden. I worked for AIS for a short time on a proof of concept contract that was not continued by the client. After spending a month or so trying to find another contract for AIS, I was let go by no fault of my own or AIS. Now working for Orion180 out of Melbourne, FL as of Sept 5, 2023.
