About William Sumendap

I am a recent graduate from Cornell University, with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. At the core of anything I like to do is problem-solving. During high school, I have participated (and won) numerous mathematical olympiads, at national and international levels. I had a previous internship experience as a software engineer, where I worked closely with my mentor testing and maintaining API gateways. I also have experience containerising projects using Docker, as well as exposure to other technologies and programming languages like Git, Go, Node.js, Lua, and MySQL. I have completed several technical projects in object-oriented programming and functional programming, as well as contributions to open source. These include a board game in Java, simple trade engine in C++, and a Python interpreter in OCaml. These projects are posted in my GitHub. I am looking for graduate-level Software Engineer roles. I can code most comfortably in Java or C++, but I am also familiar with Python, C, or JavaScript. In addition to Software Engineer roles, I am also interested in Quantitative Software Engineer and Quantitative Researcher roles. I believe that my Olympiad Mathematics background and problem solving skills will make me a great candidate on those roles.
