I have extensive experience managing NetBackup domains and protecting data on a range of different platforms for the past 18 years within the public and private sector. Previous responsibilities included the data protection of Glasgow City Council's server estate based on a NetBackup Appliance master/media Infrastructure (most recently FLEX appliance) that was designed and delivered within an ITIL aligned enterprise environment. I have provided NetBackup management of data encompassing VMware 4.1 - 5.5, Windows 2003 - 2012, AIX, Solaris 8 - 10, SUSE & RedHat Linux, NDMP and application/databases consisting of SQL, Oracle (RMAN), Sybase, Exchange (GRT), Enterprise Vault, SAP HANA. I have supported and administered Veritas NetBackup providing configuration, management and delivery of features such as - • NetBackup 5340 FLEX OS deployment and build. • NetBackup Appliances 5230, 5240 deployment and administration. • Patching and upgrades - Appliance 2.6.1 through to 3.2, FLEX 1.2 to 2.1 and software 5.1 through to 8.2 • Disaster Recovery testing and live invocation. • SAN client backups • Agent & DB Backups • Exchange Granular Recovery • Storage Lifecycle Policies • Automatic Image Replication • Firewalled networks. • Accelerator • Vault • Opscenter • Tape library (physical and VTL) management, I'm a NetBackup SME for all backup requirements, including design and implementation. I provide NetBackup license administration, capacity management, cost reporting, roadmap and investment profiling. I am a self-motivated, innovative individual with proven NetBackup skills. I provide a pro-active approach with strong interpersonal skills at all levels. I can adapt to situations as they arise and be relied upon under pressure.
