Prior experience- Completed on-time and within budget two seven-month projects across 18 office and manufacturing sites to completely replace all Extreme Networks and Cisco switching network infrastructure with new Cisco Nexus 9K, Cat 9200/9400, Cat 3850/3650 switches, and Access Points. Responsible for fully assessing the current environment, pre-configuring all replacement network switches before they were shipped to the sites, and for supporting the cutover to the new hardware in person or remotely. Each project supported a different company acquisition- Responsible for configuring and implementing device migrations from legacy switches to new Cisco Nexus 7K/5K/2K and 9K switching infrastructure for multiple clients- Engineered and implemented a new fully redundant four-site network for a client across four states with a primary path via Metro-Ethernet and secondary/tertiary paths using Cisco DMVPN across the Internet and wirelessly via Cradlepoint modems respectively- Designed and implemented a WAN Redundancy solution over the Internet using Cisco DMVPN tunnels and Palo Alto firewalls for a retail client with more than 200 locations- Extensive engineering experience configuring Cisco routers and switches, including quality of service (QoS) configuration as it applies to data, video, and Voice over IP- Conducted certification tests for wired and wireless network infrastructure for Bank of America- Responsible for building the Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS)-based test bed to certify the new Global network for Bank of America using Telco carrier-level CRS-1 routers- Designed and implemented dual-homed Internet Service Provider (ISP) connections using Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) for multiple clients- Project Management skills, responsible for implementing large technology projects.
