About William Wahono

I am a passionate obstetrician and gynecologist as well as fertility enthusiast who adopts evidence-based practice in clinical decision-making. High-quality care and effective communication are essential to my practice so that patients understand their choices and feel empowered to be involved in the decision-making process. I have special interest in fetomaternal health, pregnancy planning, as well as fertility issues. To improve my experience and skills in these areas, I have attended The International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynecology (ISUOG) World Congress, enrolled in Hysteroscopy Workshop, SMART In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Training, as well as participated in the annual meeting and workshop of ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology). Currently, I am enrolling in basic and advance training course held by ISUOG while pursuing my Master’s Degree in Reproduction Medicine and Clinical Embryology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Graduated as Bachelor of Medicine with a cum laude distinction from University of Indonesia motivates me to continue to excel in the field that I love. Here are some of my achievements: • 2017 – Awarded 1st Prize Case Report Presentation at KONAS HIFERI Pekanbaru, Indonesia (Title: Adenomyosis, bowel and rectovaginal endometriosis: diagnosis and management) • 2018 – Published original research in Journal of Pregnancy (Title: Risk factors for neonatal sepsis in pregnant women with premature rupture of the membrane; https://doi.org/10.1155/2018/4823404) • 2019 – Awarded best case presentation at Jakarta Update on Gynecology and Obstetrics (Title: Total subacute uterine inversion post spontaneous delivery in limited resources setting) • 2021 – Published original case report in Medical Journal of Indonesia Vol. 30 No. 1 (Title: A case of third-degree haemorrhagic shock due to total subacute uterine inversion after delivery; https://doi.org/10.13181/mji.cr.203862) I also translated some articles from ISUOG Journals.
