Currently serving as Anti-Terrorism Officer aboard DDG-65 USS BENFOLD. 3+ years of experience as Naval Officer leading division of 20+ sailors in 7th Fleet AOR. As Gunnery Officer, oversaw upkeep and maintenance of ship’s Gun Weapon System, Close-In Weapon System, Surface Vessel Torpedo Tubes, crew served weapons, and small arms. Program lead for ship’s Naval Surface Fire Support Warfare Area through which I coordinated multiple joint and bilateral live fire events with the United States Marine Corps, Japanese Ground Self Defense Force, and Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force. As Anti-Submarine Warfare Officer and ultimate program lead for the ship’s Anti-Submarine Warefare Area, organized and coordinated numerous joint and multi-lateral Anti-Submarine Warfare exercises with Japanese, Korea, Canadian, and Australian partners. Led and executed the Navy’s first trilateral anti-submarine warfare exercise with Japanese and Korean allies. As Anti-Terrorism Officer, I oversee the Anti-Terrorism Force Protection Program for the ship. Overall responsible for the training documentation and record management of 300+ sailors onboard. Subject matter expert onboard for Anti-Terrorism,Force Protection, and Physical Security related matters. Schedule and conduct periodic training for officers and crew.
