As the Director of Quality at BayWa Power Solutions, I bring over 17 years of expertise in quality management across diverse sectors including petrochemical, oil & gas, commercial construction, and renewables. My professional journey began in 2006 with a focus on Non-Destructive Testing in Alaska’s North Slope, evolving into a leadership role that spans multiple industries and global projects. I hold current professional certifications in API 570, AWS CWI, and have been both certified and served as a professional instructor in five separate NDE methods (Radiography, Ultrasonics, Magnetic Particle Testing, Dye Penetrant, and Visual testing) with multiple entities, complemented by current IRATA & SPRAT Level I credentials. My extensive experience includes over documented hours in Non-Destructive Inspections, Operational Management, Contract Negotiations, and proficiency in systems like MIMIR, GIS, Procore, and NOVISWorks. In recent years at BayWa r.e. Power Solutions, I have spearheaded the development of a comprehensive quality management system, constructing inspection templates and documentation frameworks for construction processes ranging from under 1 MW in size, up to 700+ MW projects. My initiatives have led to the adoption of high-quality inspection programs by multiple subcontractors and have set new benchmarks in quality expectations among our clients. I have also innovated a cost estimation system to accurately project quality control processes and execution costs, enhancing project efficiency and transparency. My experience in root cause analyses has uncovered systemic installation issues and manufacturing defects, leading to regulatory code changes and ensuring industry-wide safety and quality standards. Key achievements within the last 2 years include the identification of over previously unnoticed deficiencies on a mid-sized solar construction project, resulting in corrections that would have cost millions in damages otherwise if not discovered. I've overhauled a welding inspection program on two separate nine-figure contracts, bringing them into compliance. I've also discovered critical polymer standard deficiencies within codes and standards used in the United States, the prime discovery of which resulting in over 7 million feet of XLPE cabling being found defective. I have a foundational commitment to integrity, respect, and solution-oriented approaches, and continuously seek to tackle new challenges and expand my knowledge, aiming to drive progress and innovation in the renewable energy sector.
