About Willie Arnoldi

With a career initiation in 1986 as a Civil Engineer within local government, I have since expanded my expertise through continuous education including a Diploma in Datametrics (Quantitative Management) obtained 1990, and a BCom (Hons) in Financial Management completed in 1996, both through UNISA. Transitioning into the IT sector in 1996, I have been implementing financial consolidation, budgeting, and forecasting solutions across a spectrum of industries such as mining, leisure, banking, manufacturing, media, telecommunication, and hospitality. I have led OLAP (business intelligence) implementations utilizing Hyperion Essbase. In I ascended to the role of Director of Professional Services at Global Technology Business Intelligence (GBI), where I managed a team of 45 consultants and contractors implementing EPM solutions. My tenure at Cortell Business Solutions as a Divisional Manager further honed my skills in new business development and project management, particularly with OutlookSoft (now SAP BPC) implementations. Between 2006 and 2009, my role as Group IT Manager at RoyalSechaba Foods afforded me invaluable experience in hardware, point-of-sale, and ERP implementations across over 100 remote sites in South Africa. My contracting period with FIOS, led to IBM Solution Designer, IBM Solution Expert, and TM1 certifications, supporting clients in vehicle manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and fast-food industries with their BI, Planning, and Reporting (Enterprise Performance Management) needs. In 2011, I joined TMT as Service Operations Manager, where I played a pivotal role in the e-toll project, overseeing a support team for bespoke software and managing various operational and reporting processes, in the complex, high-volume transaction GORT project, ensuring system availability and acceptable operational performance. From 2014 to 2016, I worked as a technical project manager, ensuring that technical solutions aligned with operational demands, using of PL/SQL and SQL Developer scripting on Oracle databases. Following a restructuring, I embraced the position of Business Application Architect, focusing on business requirements, product/process enhancements of the GORT project, including detailed high- and low level documentation. I have furthered my knowledge by completing a Business Systems Analysis short course through UCT during 2024, and passed the Board Developer Certification exam, solidifying my commitment to professional development and excellence in the fields of Enterprise Performance Management.
