About Wim Bartels

I work on all aspects of transparency and credibility with large companies and organisations internationally. I served many multinational companies throughout Europe with assurance on sustainability reporting and advice to progress the Board agenda. Over the past years this has extended to climate risk, scenario analysis and wider strategic advice. Been at the forefront of the 'developments to come', such as 'integrated reporting' and 'internalising externalities in valuation’, served as a member of the TCFD and helped progressing the convergence agenda of reporting via the Corporate Reporting Dialogue, the World Economic Forum and Accountancy Europe. I focus on how 'non-financial' value drivers and the value of companies come together in a time of changing perspectives on long-term value creation. I am also a speaker at many platforms about the value of CR and value creation in broader sense, including Board meetings, Audit Committees and international conferences. As part of my professional journey, I have led a number of surveys and written articles on sustainability developments. My former experience is in integrity consulting, fraud investigations and accountancy. Specialisms: Corporate value reporting, financial risk from climate change, sustainability.
